We spent the night in a National Park at Stanton in the middle of nowhere. We didn’t see a soul and it got dark, so we first wanted to go back to the road, but finally we saw some other campers staying in the wood, so we decided to stay for the night. The next day we avoided the freeway to see more of the country between Stanton and Scott. It was a beautiful drive, we saw a lot of cotton fields, we also could see that the water still was very high in lots of places. Sometimes we had to follow the detour, cause some roads still were closed, because of the water and we noticed that the Morganza spillway was opened to relieve the pressure of the level of the Mississippi. Which means that many square miles of land were drowned to save the cities Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
