After being to Graceland we thought we might as well visit the birthplace of Elvis, Tupelo. It was only a 100 miles extra drive, so no big deal. I saw it already on the telly, so I knew what to expect. The lady who gave us the little tour, Sybille Presley, was related to Elvis, her and Elvis grandparents were brothers. She told us that the house really was the house Elvis was born in, but that the furniture wasn’t the real furniture, but it is similar to the ones they had and the bed Elvis was born in is placed in the same position as it is now. The house is called a shotgun house, cause you can open the front and back door and the wind can get through the house. These kind of houses only have 2 rooms, a bedroom and a kitchen/living room. We also visited the little Elvis museum and the church Elvis and his family were members of.
