First we went to the rock’n’roll museum, where we found out about the beginning of rock’n’roll, which really started as blues music. We lunched at an Irish restaurant, called Silky O’ Sullivans, where there was great live music played by 2 men, who told us that we could ask them to play anything from blues, country or rock’n’roll and they knew all the songs they were asked for! Bert ate a yummy Gumbo and I had some Catfish! Funny is that as I write this blog, Bert is playing with my iPad and is searching for a TV program, he finds a program with Nick and Simon, a Dutch Duo, and where is it recorded: Nick and Simon are walking through Beale street in Memphis and are playing in the Silky O’ Sullivans, what a coincidence! We are seeing all the places we were this afternoon, so funny is that.
